Warragul & District Lapidary Club Annual Jewellery, Craft and Gem Show
Will be held at the Yarragon Public Hall, Campbell Street in Yarragon on Saturday 21 January 2012 from 10am to 5pm and on Sunday 22 January 2012 from 10am to 4pm.
On show and for sale will be a large collection of gemstones, minerals and fossils, as well as member’s own designed and handcrafted jewellery. Showcases of beautiful creations of cut and polished gemstones, minerals, silver smithing, silver & gold wire wrapping, glass beads and beading work will be on display. Spectacular fluorescent minerals (minerals that glow in the dark!) will be on show. During both days there will be faceting, glass bead making and gold panning demonstrations, and kids can sieve for gemstones. Further activities will include (crazy) wire wrapping and chainmail demonstrations, and members will be present to answer questions about fossils, opals and minerals. There will also be antique gold and silver jewellery appraisals. Entry for adults is $5, concession $3, and free entry for children u/16 (accompanied by an adult). Phone: (03) 5625 5920

26th - 29th January FESTIVAL OF SAILS

The Festival of Sails is the largest sailing festival in the Southern Hemisphere. The free community Shoreside Festival attracts over 100,000 people for the free entertainment, markets and stalls, children’s rides and activities, beachside activities, food and wine. Held over the Australia Day holiday period, by taking a site you too can showcase your product or business to the huge crowds!
