East Ballina Lions warmly welcome the local community and visitors to the Ballina Markets to enjoy the peaceful village green atmosphere and realistic prices.

The stalls offer goods for sale from local artists, crafts people, fresh food producers, plants, books, clothes, jewellery, toys and much more while the trash and treasure stalls always present the opportunity to find a bargain. The market is also a place where businesses and community groups showcase their services. 

The Lions Café  Under the Trees is a great place to relax in the shade of the beautiful big trees and share a coffee and something to eat with family and friends. A variety of food and drinks are available including the Lions Big Breakfast. There is live music throughout the morning including the Ballina Shire Concert band playing from 9:30am to 10:30am. Parking is free and disabled parking near the stalls is available.

The Riverside Markets, operated by the  Lions Club of Bathurst Macquarie are held at Berry Park, a delightful grassy spot with many shade trees on the northern banks of the Macquarie River offers plentiful parking, highway exposure and public facilities.

 

Forty to fifty stalls sell a huge range of items now vie for your attention, supported by a live music and the Macquarie Lions Club with their world famous bbq offerings. Along with bric’a’brac stalls, you will find jewellery,books, leatherwork, wooden toys and garden ornaments, clothing of all kinds for adults and children, crystals and mini gardens, Rawleigh products, cakes and other baked goods, local honey, non-alcohic beers, preserves, condiments, fresh produce in season, plants, candles, cards, vintage items, sweets, giftware, ironwork, recycled craft and other items.

 

After browsing the stalls patrons can have a yummy morning tea or lunch and a cuppa, sitting at tables or on the grass to listen to great live music. Public toilets are handy as is a children's playground. Berry Park is accessed via the first turn left off the Great Western Highway after crossing the Macquarie River when Sydney-bound, or the last right-hand turn before crossing the river if heading into Bathurst. The site is clearly sign-posted on the day. Markets are held on the first Saturday of each month except January and run from 8-ish until 1pm in the warmer months and from 9am until 1pm in winter.

Bondi Beach Community Market (BBCM) operates from September to April, our trading hours are:

September, October, November, March and April: Saturdays, Sundays and all Public Holidays - 12.20 to 19.00pm

December, January and February: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday and all Public Holidays - 12.20 to 21.00pm.
                                                       
Situated in the heart of Bondi Beach at Roscoe Street  Mall/ Carl Jeppsen Place, on Cambell Parade, facing the main pedestrian crossing to the iconic world famous beach – in the summer this is a high traffic flow area on warm sunny days.


We have on average 112 trading days per season with very reasonable rents to help you start a business, or to promote your already established business.

All stall sizes are 3m x 2m (except for one massage stall site, which is 3m x 3m permitting the use of a suitable Marquee tent).

We are looking for a variety of stalls that won't compete with each and create a lively market mix.

In particular we are seeking artists - painters/ photographers etc, clothing, bikini & surf stalls, as well as one henna tattoo/ face painter & one massage stall. Other products will be considered.

Sorry no food or beverages are permitted – we are not permitted to be in direct competition with the surrounding local cafes, restaurants and shops.

The Como Market is on the 2nd Sunday of each month (except January) from 9am-2pm. They are located on the beautiful grounds of Como Public School overlooking the Georges River. It's a great family day out with something for everyone. From a 10 minute massage, strolling through a variety of homemade wares, having something delicious for lunch from Eat Street or just sitting and listening to live music. You couldn't get a more picturesque spot in the Sutherland Shire for a market. The children are entertained and parents can relax.  The markets are run by volunteering parents of Como Public School.
