A quarterly market held in March, June, September and December, all indoors and all Australian made with over 270 stalls including a gourmet food hall. 10-4 on market weekends with the exception of June & Christmas, which is also 5-9pm on the Friday night. Free entry and free parking. Handmade Market is held at Exhibition Park Canberra. **Market Dates** **2020** June *26, 27 & 28, September 26 & 27, December *11, 12 & 13. *FRIDAY 5PM - 9PM SAT & SUN 10AM - 4PM The Handmade Market been a favourite with Canberrans for ten years, even ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr recognised the Handmade Canberra Market as “a Canberra institution”. "More than just a market - Handmade Canberra is making a big difference to the local economy and tourism, attracting 120,000 visitors and generating an estimated $15 million in sales per year." With over 270 stalls selling only Australian handmade goods; homewares, fashion, jewellery, art and an entire pavilion dedicated to food and beverages, the indoor market is renown for high-quality products, workmanship and sensational customer service. Founder Julie Nichols says it still surprises her to hear of Canberrans who have never attended the market - “we’d love more Canberrans to come and experience what the market has to offer”, she says. Mr Barr agrees, saying it’s “a great place to shop and a great place to take visitors”.

MANDJAR MARKETS POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE As you will be aware the circumstances are changing daily with regards to the Corona Virus. Due to the latest Dept of Health update, the committee have postponed any future markets for this season which was due to finish on the 10th May. We are doing this in the best interest for everyone's health & well-being as a safety precaution for our family of Mandjar Markets stallholders ,entertainers and our market visitors who attend the markets weekly on the Eastern Foreshore. It being a public open space we can’t monitor the amount of visitors and if it will exceed 500 people at any given time. Over the next few days on our Facebook page ,we will be posting links of all our approved stallholders, amusement operators and entertainers that have websites and/or Facebook pages. We ask that you can please still support them during this difficult time and purchase or book directly from them. As soon as a date is announced where it is safe to hold Public events, the Markets Committee will then work on future dates and announcements will be made. We wish everyone to stay healthy and if you are affected with the virus, speedy recovery wishes to you. With a unique range of handmade gifts, local arts, fresh produce, boutique pantry delicacies, plants, home decor and much more. You can rest and have a bite to eat at the 'Cafe de Market' serving breakfast, light lunches and a range of homemade cakes with tea and coffee. Off street parking within the Show Grounds with plenty of room for larger vehicles and buses. Well-behaved pets on leashes are welcomed to join their owners. To have a stall check our website for an application form, this form will be passed on to the Market Organiser. However it is important you phone the Market Organiser in regards to availability of a stall site. Remember all stallholders must have handcrafted their wares. Your product will be vetted. Stalls are generally 2.5m x 2m depending on the location. Stall fees include a table set up for you and chairs available if required. The Showgrounds and Exhibition Centre will be open from 6:00am for set up. Market runs from 8am to Noon. Pack up not before Noon. Free Parking available at the Stanthorpe Show Grounds.
