East Ballina Lions warmly welcome the local community and visitors to the Ballina Markets to enjoy the peaceful village green atmosphere and realistic prices. The stalls offer goods for sale from local artists, crafts people, fresh food producers, plants, books, clothes, jewellery, toys and much more while the trash and treasure stalls always present the opportunity to find a bargain. The market is also a place where businesses and community groups showcase their services. The Lions Café Under the Trees is a great place to relax in the shade of the beautiful big trees and share a coffee and something to eat with family and friends. A variety of food and drinks are available including the Lions Big Breakfast. There is live music throughout the morning including the Ballina Shire Concert band playing from 9:30am to 10:30am. Parking is free and disabled parking near the stalls is available. For those wishing to have a stall at the market the cost is still only $15:00 and new stall holders always receive a warm welcome. We are now taking permanent trader applications for the 2020-21 trading season! Bondi Beach Community Market (BBCM) operates from September to April, our trading hours are: September, October, November, March and April: Saturdays, Sundays and all Public Holidays - 12.20 to 19.00pm December, January and February: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday and all Public Holidays - 12.20 to 21.00pm. Situated in the heart of Bondi Beach at Roscoe Street Mall/ Carl Jeppsen Place, on Cambell Parade, facing the main pedestrian crossing to the iconic world famous beach – in the summer this is a high traffic flow area on warm sunny days. We have on average 112 trading days per season with very reasonable rents to help you start a business, or to promote your already established business - casual traders pay only $70 per day! All stall sizes are 3m x 2m (except for one massage stall site, which is 3m x 3m permitting the use of a suitable Marquee tent). We are looking for a variety of stalls that won't compete with each and create a lively market mix. In particular we are seeking artists - painters/ photographers etc, clothing, bikini & surf stalls, as well as one henna tattoo/ face painter & one massage stall. Other products will be considered. Our markets have been in operation for in excess of 35 years. We have an excellent selection of stalls with something for everyone. We have stalls inside the hall and outside on the Recreation Reserve. We are always looking out for new stall holders and our stall rental fee is one of the lowest in the area. We have excellent Devonshire Teas with Barista coffee and food from our Gourmet Kitchen. We are proud of the fact that all the proceeds raised from the markets are placed back into the up keep of the Community Hall. MANDJAR MARKETS POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE As you will be aware the circumstances are changing daily with regards to the Corona Virus. Due to the latest Dept of Health update, the committee have postponed any future markets for this season which was due to finish on the 10th May. We are doing this in the best interest for everyone's health & well-being as a safety precaution for our family of Mandjar Markets stallholders ,entertainers and our market visitors who attend the markets weekly on the Eastern Foreshore. It being a public open space we can’t monitor the amount of visitors and if it will exceed 500 people at any given time. Over the next few days on our Facebook page ,we will be posting links of all our approved stallholders, amusement operators and entertainers that have websites and/or Facebook pages. We ask that you can please still support them during this difficult time and purchase or book directly from them. As soon as a date is announced where it is safe to hold Public events, the Markets Committee will then work on future dates and announcements will be made. We wish everyone to stay healthy and if you are affected with the virus, speedy recovery wishes to you. Stalls are generally 2.5m x 2m depending on the location. Stall fees include a table set up for you and chairs available if required.
