YEPPOON COMMUNITY MARKET

Yeppoon Showgrounds, Burnett Street, Yeppoon QLD 4703
YEPPOON COMMUNITY MARKET
We have a Variety of stalls. Contact us if you wish to become a stallholder. We would like to give you some history about the Market because lots of people don't know much about the Market. It was started over 40 years ago with only approximately 6 stalls and has grown over the years to what and where it is today. The Market has always been about the Community. It was set up so that people could have stalls but then all the profits from the stall fees could go back into the Community. The Market has donated lots of money over the years. The first 4 wheel drive Ambulance was mostly paid for by the Market. We paid for seven Blue Nurses' vehicles. The Gus Moore Pavilion was paid for by the Market. A large donation was given to the Gymnastic Club to pay for their Pavilion. The CWA and RSL had building donations as well. Donations have also been made to so many more. The Community Market has certainly lived up to its name – it has donated to so many things. The chances are most people in the Community have benefited in some way from donations from the Market either directly or indirectly. If you have sat on a seat in Beaman Park, had children in one of our schools or sports clubs, read a donated book from the library, had children enjoy animals in the zoo at the Yeppoon Show, had a family member attended to by a Blue Care nurse, the chances are the Community Market had some input. Of course I could go on singing the praises of the Community Market forever but all this could not have happened without the support of great stallholders and great customers and dedicated market volunteers - so please keep supporting the Market which in turn supports the Community.
