Australia Day in Camden provides an opportunity for the local community to get together and celebrate our great nation. The event draws thousands of people each year and features busy street activities, food stalls, markets, kid’s entertainment and a street parade. This year’s theme will embrace everything Australiana and sing of pure unadulterated Aussie family fun in the sun! **What's in store for 2020?** · The Macarthur Lions Parade will now commence at the earlier time of 10am on Argyle Street. · The Awesome Aussie Eating Competition - how many mangoes and lamingtons can you eat in five minutes? · Bush band: Sydney’s premier bush band The Inland Navigators will perform some of Australia's most beloved bush songs. · Solo acoustic music by Ric Bailey of Mad Rhino. · Thong throwing competition - a huge hit in 2019, this comp makes its return for more fun to see whose thong can be chucked the farthest along John Street. · Koala Cupcake and animal mask decorating workshop. · Cork hat making workshop. · Bouncy castles. · Shaded area with seating for elderly and infirm. · Free face painting. · Buskers, street artists and bush poetry. · Food trucks, arts and crafts and Australiana memorabilia stalls (stall holder applications close on Monday 13 January 2020). **Highlights include:** - 8.15am - Thanksgiving Service Camden Civic Centre - 9am - Fun Day commences John Street, Camden - 10am - Macarthur Lions Street Parade, Argyle Street, Camden - 11.45am - Australia Day Awards Ceremony, Camden Civic Centre - 12.15pm - Citizenship Ceremony, Camden Civic Centre - 2pm - Fun Day concludes, John Street, Camden

Urban Markets will make sure to offer a great line-up of market stallholders to compliment the great atmosphere this Festival has. We will start to reveal which stallholders are joining us closer to the Festival date! Please RSVP to be reminded of this Festival ! 𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗜𝗡𝗙𝗢: The weather will be hot, the beer cold, street food sizzles and live music will linger across the bay. The Waterfront Festival is a celebration of Frankston's dazzling surroundings by the bay. ​Saturday 11am - 10pm, Sunday 11am - 6.00pm Bookings for both days required. Autumn Festival is here again to bring pumping music from local performers that will surely add good vibes while you shop at our awesome variety of market stalls and shops on Bungan Street! We'll also have fun amusements for your kids to enjoy. We are also partnering with the Northern Beaches Youth and Lifestyle Expo which aims to raise awareness of sports for the youth as a beneficial tool for mental health and community participation. Fun sports activities will be held at the Mona Vale Public School. This event is expected to attract thousands of people to Mona Vale so it presents a great opportunity for local businesses to open their doors to drive both sales and consumer awareness. Springwood Foundation Day represents a huge day for the lower Blue Mountains community to participate in the festival that celebrates the spirit of our town. Whether young or old, you will find much to see & do as you stroll through Springwood on the day. The main road is closed to traffic from 7 am to 5 pm, allowing pedestrians to enjoy over 130 stalls, a wonderful range of food from around the world, live entertainment including 3 main stages with 25+ performances on the day, local bands, singers, dance groups, rides for the kiddies & much, much more. Applications NOW OPEN! - Food and Market Stalls, Street Performers and Stage Entertainers. Applications close 4 weeks before the event. Springwood Foundation Day gives local and regional organisations and businesses a chance to show the diversity that makes up our community. If you are involved in a local community group, run a local business, or make beautiful things, then book a stall and show what you do. With thousands of people roaming the main street, there is also an opportunity for a wide variety of food to be sampled on the day.
