Quota International of Coffs Harbour has been showcasing nostalgia to the community for 24 years. Approximately 17 dealers from New South Wales and Interstate set up shop in the Exhibition Hall, Coffs Harbour Showground for two days on the last weekend in August – this year Saturday 24th – 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 25th – 9.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. Retro and Vintage Antiques and Collectables of many different specialities are on sale including furniture, antique and vintage glass, Japanese and Chinese antiques, jewellery, toys, military items, linen, artwork and prints, clocks and fine china. $50 Voucher Draws for Buyers adds to the excitement of finding that “special something”. The length of the Fair enables members of the public to browse at leisure and then explore local attractions in the Regional town. Cost $5 children under 12 free - wheelchair accessible. Homemade refreshments/light luncheons available – prepared by Quota club members. Proceeds to local charities.

2019 will be the 176th running of the Annual Penrith Show, there will be Arts and Crafts on displays as well as ring events which will include a variety of Horse events. Other sections of the show not to be missed are our new Poultry Pavilion, Dog High Jump events, Cage Birds, Dairy Goats, Cooking and Preserves. The Show will be run over a period of two (2) days on Saturday 24th August and Sunday 25th August 2019. “All roads lead to Cootamundra this Wattle Time” Celebrate Cootamundra’s iconic Wattle Time with the staging of the Wattle Time Fair and Community Street Parade, hosted by the Cootamundra Development Corporation. Cootamundra is located in the South West Slopes of NSW and is infamously known as the birthplace of legendary cricketer the late Sir Donald Bradman. Cootamundra is a highly regarded agricultural country town and is approximately halfway by rail between Sydney and Melbourne. The 2019 Wattle Time Fair will be held at the Fisher Park from 9am to 4pm on Saturday 31st August 2019 (always the last Saturday in August). The Hurlstone Agricultural High School Country Fair and Farm Open Day will be held on Saturday 7th September between 10am and 3pm in the school grounds, Roy Watts Rd, Glenfield (next to the Glenfield railway station). It is a great opportunity for stall holders to sell and promote their products. Hurlstone is a selective government school with day students and boarders. It has a special focus on the teaching of agriculture. The Country Fair is run concurrently with the school's Farm Open Day, where Hurlstone invites the general public to enjoy all of its farm attractions and activities. The market stall area is under a large COLA, near all the major Country Fair attractions, such as the carnival rides. The St Marys Spring Festival is the major annual community event held in the CBD of St Marys, and attracts a crowd of over 20,000 people. The Festival has run for over 40 years and this year’s Festival is sure to be just as fun and exciting. The Festival is FREE for families to attend and attracts people from all over the region. We have three stages of entertainment, a grand parade and over 200 unique market stalls. The 2019 Festival will be held on Saturday 7th September from 9am to 3pm. We are looking for artisan’s and unique retailers to fill our market stalls. This exciting event attracts over 30,000 visitors each year and entry is free. It commences at 10am with a Grand Parade in the Main Street, and concludes at 10pm after the CFA Torchlight Parade and a spectacular fireworks display. The Grand Parade will have in excess of 1000 participants and be full of colour and variety with this year’s theme being ‘Cuisine, Craft and Community’. We have many family oriented activities including egg and spoon and sack races, tug o war, a gorgeous fairy tent, rock climbing, abseiling, and a rope bridge to navigate for the kids. We have a large range of carnival rides suiting everyone from the very young children to the more exciting ones for the teenagers. There will be face painting, pony and camel rides, and a range of stages providing a variety of entertainment. You can sit and have a coffee or enjoy the huge range of cuisines in the food court, while facing the main stage and watch bands, dancers, singers and more. Or laugh with the clowns and other acts on the children’s stage. We have buskers and roving entertainers, displays from the police, CFA and much much more. There will be a huge range of market stalls with large array of merchandise to interest you. Be active and join in the activities or sit back and enjoy the entertainment – the choice is yours. The Lugarno Lions Spring Festival is the largest festival in southern Sydney outside of the Royal Easter Show. The festival attracts up to 50,000 visitors with over 200 food, craft and variety stalls, two stages of free entertainment and a plethora of carnival rides. The festival will again feature the popular 80s band, The Cockroaches, as the highlight attraction. Before the Wiggles there was The Cockroaches with “Wake Up Jeff”, the Purple Wiggle and the Field brothers. Additionally the ever popular **7 - News** team will be present. This year the festival will be at **Peakhurst Park** that provides us the opportunity to totally revamp the event to make it a better and more successful festival. There is plenty of street parking available and we will be providing a bus service to transport festival goers to and from the park along a set route. Festival attractions include amusement rides, camel rides, kiddies train rides, pony rides, animal farm, rock wall climbing and much more. In addition there are aroung 30 quality food sites available. We will conduct a social media advertising campaign on Facebook, Instagram, letterbox drops, railway station handouts, corflute & electronic board signage and traditional media. Vase theme - ‘Flower Power’ All Saints Anglican Church is proud to be hosting its eighth annual Daffodil Show. Over its short life the show has gained an enviable reputation with professional growers and the local community alike. The flowers are fabulous and entry is free. The weekend of 21st 7 22nd September will see All Saints Church and Hall bedecked in the glorious colours of daffodils. Come and learn about growing, breeding and showing daffodils, visit the church and our beautiful gardens. In All Saints see one of All Saints historic stained glass windows being restored during the show by Churchhill Scholar Gavin Merrington. With a little luck Gavin might even let you help. Family entertainment abounds: face painting, Treasure hunt, bubble blowing, kids’ craft, a Garden Market, The Jesse Tree (All Saints Op Shop), cakestall, hot food and morning & afternoon tea with homemade fare. There will also be live music on the grass: Jounce (celtic ensemble), the Hobart Old Time String Band, Sisongke Community Choir and Marigolden. Lots to see, do and eat! The Daffodil Show includes Community Classes for young and old ranging from a simple arrangement of garden flowers, to photography, original artwork and colouring-in. Budding artists of all ages are encouraged to either colour-in an original line drawing by Rod Barwick or create their own work. On Sunday afternoon there will be a ‘Blessing of the Pets’ in the garden at 2pm. Schedules are available from The Jesse Tree at All Saints Church, South Hobart and can be viewed online at www.allsaints-southhobart.org.au. Prizes will be awarded for winning entries in all Community and Standard classes. Exhibitors are encouraged to use their imagination with the vase theme for this year’s show which is Flower Power (think rainbows). So dust off your vases, riffle through the cupboards for that fabulous vase you just haven’t been able to part company with, pick some flowers from your garden and arrange them at the show. Above all, be prepared to enjoy yourselves! Not only will you be part of a wonderful community event but you’ll know that all proceeds go towards development of the All Saints Garden, a quiet oasis in the heart of South Hobart.
