The Albury-Wodonga Antiques and Collectables Fair is returning again in 2020 with a host of new professional dealers as well as your old favourites. Organised by antiques dealer Mick Dalton, in conjunction with the Albury-Wodonga Antiques Fair Committee and Albury-Wodonga Community Chest Inc. this event has become a great drawcard for collectors both serious and novice alike. The 4th and 5th April will see the Mirambeena Community Centre at Lavington transformed into an impressive showcase of antiques when dealers from all around the country combine for the fair. Traditionally the aim of a fair is to cater for all tastes and incomes, from the smallest thimble to a grand Victorian chest. Prices are competitive and the range of items for sale is enormous, enabling customers to view many different dealers all together under one roof, instead of travelling to twenty different establishments. Georgian and Victorian jewellery, English and European porcelain, silver, glass, linen, lamps, collectables and furniture, both rustic and traditional will be displayed with great care and pride, the dealers themselves endeavouring to supply as much information as possible to help the collector. The Albury-Wodonga Antiques Fair is also a fundraiser for Antiques Fair Committee and Albury-Wodonga Community Chest Inc. who will be providing delicious light lunches as well as morning and afternoon teas throughout the weekend of the fair. The Albury-Wodonga Antiques Fair is open to the public from 10am until 5pm on Saturday 4th April and from 10am until 4pm on Sunday 5th April. Admission is $9 for adults and includes a lucky door ticket. Accompanied children are free. There is plenty of parking available nearby and wheelchair access into the hall. The Crookwell Showground comes alive as the Potato Festival celebrates Crookwell's long association of over 150 years with the potato. As always the event features live music and lots of other entertaining activities for young and old. There will be specialty potato cooking demonstrations, a diverse range of Crookwell's famous potatoes for sale and a charity Spud Auction. 2019 Special Guest - His Excellency Breandon O’Caollai the Irish Ambassador to Australia as in 2019 the festival goes Irish! The main road is closed to traffic from 7 am to 5 pm, allowing pedestrians to enjoy over 130 stalls, a wonderful range of food from around the world, live entertainment including 3 main stages with 25+ performances on the day, local bands, singers, dance groups, rides for the kiddies & much, much more. The Deni Ute Muster is celebrating its 22nd festival this year and we are looking for trade vendors to join us. With crowds exceeding 18,000 our two-day event will keep you on your toes! Our festival is on daily from 8am through until midnight both Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd October 2020. The Deni Ute Muster is a family friendly event with non-stop entertainment for 16 hours daily. This includes the best International and Australian country and rock artists, a circus, full carnival area, woodchopping, whip cracking, a bull ride, Family Centre, petting zoo, camel rides, dinosaur shows, comedy shows + heaps more. Our patrons camp on site and enter the festival arena daily to enjoy the various food and trade stalls on offer whilst taking part in the activities and watching the entertainment. Country clothing and hats have already been taken care of, all other applicants are encouraged to apply. We get a variety of patrons with high disposable incomes, looking to take souvenirs and shopping home with them. Trade vendors are asked to be operational between 8am and 8pm each day. Traditionally the aim of a fair is to cater for all tastes and incomes, from the smallest thimble to a grand Victorian chest. Prices are competitive and the range of items for sale is enormous, enabling customers to view many different dealers all together under one roof, instead of travelling to many different establishments. Georgian and Victorian jewellery, English and European porcelain, silver, glass, linen, lamps, collectables and furniture, both rustic and traditional will be displayed with great care and pride, the dealers themselves endeavouring to supply as much information as possible to help the collector. The Robertson Antiques Fair will be a bonanza for the village with a great number of tourists visiting the fair and also visiting many local attractions such as our three local waterfalls, the Illawarra Fly treetop walk, the Robertson Heritage Railway Station Gallery , the Village Woodworks, the Old Cheese Factory Complex and the Southern Highlands Artisans Collective After your visit to the Antiques Fair there is still plenty to do in the village such as browsing through the many shops selling antiques, arts and crafts, paintings, books, foodstuffs and local produce. Also why not visit one of the many cafes for morning / afternoon tea or lunch. Events like the fair are important to the School of Arts Committee who rely on income from these functions to maintain the hall. During the fair the ladies from the hall committee will be serving light lunches and morning/afternoon teas.
