Narooma’s special Holiday Market Narooma Rotary will hold a special Holiday Market on Friday 28 December. This will be a bumper market in peak tourist season. This is instead of the normal December market (the fourth Sunday) which this year falls on Christmas Eve. Narooma Market on 28 December is on NÀTA Oval in Bluewater Drive Narooma (behind Visitors’ Centre) from 8.30am to 1.00pm. Narooma Market is very popular with both visitors and locals alike because of its key location and the range of goods and great food, offering something for everyone. Food stalls will offer speciality coffee with delicious cakes and pastries, French crepes or gateaux, gourmet pizzas, Rotary’s delicious barbecue fare, homemade cakes, slices and pies and the local Ice Cream Van will also be there. Beautiful summer clothes abound, including several vintage stalls. There will also be paintings, gifts, homewares, toys, timber products, plants, hats, belts, sunglasses, jewellery and skincare products as well as kayaks. Highfields Pioneer Village has traditionally hosted many thousands of people from near and far celebrating Australia Day in a unique heritage location.Australia Day Celebrations at Highfields will be Jam packed full of fun with displays and entertainment to interest all ages. At 9:00am the day kicks off with the Milking of the Cow, then Beekeeping, Blacksmithing, Working Draught Horse and Whip Cracking School. There will be plenty of good Aussie tucker, meat pies, vegemite sandwiches and Billy Tea and Damper. Guest Artists Trevor Dodds, Terry Arnold, Low Voltage and Catie-May will perform. There will be an Aboriginal Art display, Family Games and children will love the Baby Animals in the Nursery. We start at 9:00 and finish at around 5:00pm. Entry is $3 per person to support the heritage village, Under 12yrs are free, Entry after 1:30pm is Free of charge.

Springwood Australia Day Festival 2019 is held on Friday Jan 26 at Springwood Public School playground. It involves entertainment from local bands, dancers, singers, performers, from 10.00am till 4pm on 2 stages - non-stop entertainment. Over 2000 counted through the gate last year, we expect more this year, our 9th major event at this venue, as it keeps building each year. We have Food and Markets Stalls there with carnival rides, face painting and pony rides for the kids, BBQ and a Licenced Bar for mum and dad. Sam's philosophy is very much what mine was when I was going through treatment. F CANCER!! I'm one of the lucky ones, I'm still able to annoy the crap out of my family and friends. There will be market stalls, entertainment, and of course SAM! Your right again, Sam will be making an appearance. We'd love you to help reach our target of $15,000 to help stamp out that yucky thing we call cancer. Connie, myself and many others have had or are going through treatment for Breast cancer, but its not what Love your Sister is about, Sam wants to say F to all cancers!

The White Sands Festival is held on the Sports Ground at Huskisson and is essentially a large market with over 120 stalls, plus entertainment all day and various interesting exhibits. These exhibits include vintage, hot-rod and display cars together with bikes, vintage machinery, power boats and much more. On stage there are local and out-of-town groups who sing, perform and play for your entertainment as well as massed Scottish Bands marching and playing on and around the large field, the entertainment continues throughout the day. Preceding the events at the sports ground there is a large and noisy parade that passes through town with marching groups, bands, floats and community groups to bring the large crowd to the main event. All 5m x 5m sites are on grass with over 120 sites available. Most stalls have adjacent parking. Huskisson is a popular seaside town on the South Coast of NSW, and it is still just $80 for a full day trading.

Springwood Foundation Day represents a huge day for the lower Blue Mountains community to participate in the festival that celebrates the spirit of our town. The main road is closed to traffic from 7 am to 5 pm, allowing pedestrians to enjoy over 130 stalls, a wonderful range of food from around the world, live entertainment including 3 main stages with 25+ performances on the day, local bands, singers, dance groups, rides for the kiddies & much, much more. Applications NOW OPEN! - Food and Market Stalls, Street Performers and Stage Entertainers. Applications close 4 weeks before the event, 1st April 2019. Springwood Foundation Day gives local and regional organisations and businesses a chance to show the diversity that makes up our community.
