Paper crafts, handbags (fabric & leather), quilting & patchwork sales and supplies. New and upcycled unique jewellery, Woodwork and men's crafts. In the Garden Pavilion, plants from herbs to succulents, it's all here! Guest speakers and demonstrations for everyone. With kids activities to amuse the little ones including a climbing wall, face painting and crafts. Over 100 stalls, a BBQ, Cafe, Coffee machine. ATM on site. “All roads lead to Cootamundra this Wattle Time” Celebrate Cootamundra’s iconic Wattle Time with the staging of the Wattle Time Fair and Community Street Parade, hosted by the Cootamundra Development Corporation. Cootamundra is located in the South West Slopes of NSW and is infamously known as the birthplace of legendary cricketer the late Sir Donald Bradman. Cootamundra is a highly regarded agricultural country town and is approximately halfway by rail between Sydney and Melbourne. The 2019 Wattle Time Fair will be held at the Fisher Park from 9am to 4pm on Saturday 31st August 2019 (always the last Saturday in August). Now in its seventh year, the Fair is set to incorporate all things home, garden and leisure and is a great day out for the entire family featuring: market stalls, delicious food, face painting, vintage car displays, entertainment all day, mascots, free community cake, children’s rides and activities plus much more, Overall a great family friendly atmosphere bringing the entire community together. Entry is $5 families, $2 adults & $1 children. Don’t forget to check out the floats for the Street Parade, which will make its way down Parker Street at 12noon and will then proceed back to Fisher Park. Vase theme - ‘Flower Power’ All Saints Anglican Church is proud to be hosting its eighth annual Daffodil Show. Over its short life the show has gained an enviable reputation with professional growers and the local community alike. The flowers are fabulous and entry is free. The weekend of 21st 7 22nd September will see All Saints Church and Hall bedecked in the glorious colours of daffodils. Come and learn about growing, breeding and showing daffodils, visit the church and our beautiful gardens. In All Saints see one of All Saints historic stained glass windows being restored during the show by Churchhill Scholar Gavin Merrington. With a little luck Gavin might even let you help. Family entertainment abounds: face painting, Treasure hunt, bubble blowing, kids’ craft, a Garden Market, The Jesse Tree (All Saints Op Shop), cakestall, hot food and morning & afternoon tea with homemade fare. There will also be live music on the grass: Jounce (celtic ensemble), the Hobart Old Time String Band, Sisongke Community Choir and Marigolden. Lots to see, do and eat! The Daffodil Show includes Community Classes for young and old ranging from a simple arrangement of garden flowers, to photography, original artwork and colouring-in. Budding artists of all ages are encouraged to either colour-in an original line drawing by Rod Barwick or create their own work. On Sunday afternoon there will be a ‘Blessing of the Pets’ in the garden at 2pm. Schedules are available from The Jesse Tree at All Saints Church, South Hobart and can be viewed online at www.allsaints-southhobart.org.au. Prizes will be awarded for winning entries in all Community and Standard classes. Exhibitors are encouraged to use their imagination with the vase theme for this year’s show which is Flower Power (think rainbows). So dust off your vases, riffle through the cupboards for that fabulous vase you just haven’t been able to part company with, pick some flowers from your garden and arrange them at the show. Above all, be prepared to enjoy yourselves! Not only will you be part of a wonderful community event but you’ll know that all proceeds go towards development of the All Saints Garden, a quiet oasis in the heart of South Hobart. Living Green Festival—Sunday 6 October 2019—Albert Hall Canberra’s unique Living Green Festival is not just another environmental expo. It’s a fun-filled festival that focusses equally on sustainability and compassion, showcasing green ideas and solutions that work for the planet, for humans and for other animals. This free day of fun for the whole family will be back at the Albert Hall for the seventh time on Sunday 6 October from 10am-4pm. What makes the Living Green Festival different is that you might find a stall about lounge-shaped water tanks right next to a stall about the plight of orangutans in Indonesia or deaf dogs in Australia. Sustainability is a big theme of the event. Not just in the range of stalls and services showcased at the Festival, but how the event runs itself. The Festival organisers are proud of the event’s ‘green credentials’. All food and drink served at the event is plant-based, which has a much lower ‘carbon footprint’ than animal products such as meat and dairy. It also means all food waste from the event is composted. And not just the food – all servingware used at the event is also compostable, meaning very little waste from the event ends up in landfill or needing to be recycled. So, while nibbling a delicious plant-based cheesecake made by a local Canberra bakery, or sampling a tasty Malaysian vegetable curry from a local haute cuisine restaurant, you can learn about energy efficiency measures for your home at the many eco-friendly market stalls. Retro-fitted double-glazing solutions for existing windows is always one of the most popular exhibits, offering festival attendees the chance to see how it works in practice. Kids are spoilt for choice as well. This year there will be an entire free Kidzone, with an 8-metre rock-climbing wall that kids (and kids-at-heart) can scale to get the best view of the Festival. The Kidzone will also offer free face painting, games and art and craft activities. Festival-goers will also be able to chill out in the grounds of the Albert Hall while listening to live music and entertainment including Petrichor, Hope Street, Monique Lewis, and even a spot of swing dancing! The Festival will also offer a range of free workshops, talks and cooking demonstrations. Oh, and finally, the Living Green Festival has a dog café! That’s right, dogs are welcome at the event. ‘Carson’s Café’ (Carson’s a lovely poodle and the face of the café), will be right in the middle of the 2017 Living Green Festival serving treats for people and dogs alike. All of the three pavilions are jam packed with a variety of stalls including jewellery, home wares, gift wares, toys, books, crafts, beauty products, clothing and much more. Outside we aim to create a festival atmosphere with a variety of food and market stalls, entertainment and children's’ rides. We also cater for the outdoor enthusiast with camping, boating, 4WD accessories, fishing, camper trailers, caravans plus much more.
