With the cool of early autumn evenings in the air, come and enjoy a fusion of delicious food, art and music at our Eat Art Night Markets to be held in Hurstville Plaza in Forest Road Hurstville on Friday 12 April, and Belgrave Street and Kogarah Town Square in Kogarah on Friday 3 May 2019. There will be a range of stalls, including arts and crafts, a fantastic variety of international cuisine, and a variety of entertainment. The Hurstville event will include the official opening of the Hurstville Plaza, which will take place at 6.00pm. Kogarah Town Centre will include the closure of Belgrave St between Post Office Lane and Kensington Street, with market stalls all along the street as well as in Kogarah Town Square. Star Wars fans can come along dressed up to celebrate May the Fourth a day in advance and there is a Jedi Academy taking place which the kids might enjoy at Kogarah Library. Springwood Foundation Day represents a huge day for the lower Blue Mountains community to participate in the festival that celebrates the spirit of our town. Whether young or old, you will find much to see & do as you stroll through Springwood on the day. The main road is closed to traffic from 7 am to 5 pm, allowing pedestrians to enjoy over 130 stalls, a wonderful range of food from around the world, live entertainment including 3 main stages with 25+ performances on the day, local bands, singers, dance groups, rides for the kiddies & much, much more. Applications NOW OPEN! - Food and Market Stalls, Street Performers and Stage Entertainers. Applications close 4 weeks before the event, 1st April 2019. Springwood Foundation Day gives local and regional organisations and businesses a chance to show the diversity that makes up our community. If you are involved in a local community group, run a local business, or make beautiful things, then book a stall and show what you do. “All roads lead to Cootamundra this Wattle Time” Celebrate Cootamundra’s iconic Wattle Time with the staging of the Wattle Time Fair and Community Street Parade, hosted by the Cootamundra Development Corporation. Cootamundra is located in the South West Slopes of NSW and is infamously known as the birthplace of legendary cricketer the late Sir Donald Bradman. Cootamundra is a highly regarded agricultural country town and is approximately halfway by rail between Sydney and Melbourne. The 2018 Wattle Time Fair will be held at the Fisher Park from 9am to 4pm on Saturday 31st August 2019 (always the last Saturday in August). Now in its seventh year, the Fair is set to incorporate all things home, garden and leisure and is a great day out for the entire family featuring: market stalls, delicious food, face painting, vintage car displays, entertainment all day, mascots, free community cake, children’s rides and activities plus much more, Overall a great family friendly atmosphere bringing the entire community together. Entry is $5 families, $2 adults & $1 children. The streets are closed to traffic and Corrimal turns into a centre of bustling fun. Oatley Village Festival is a major community event in the St George area, attracting over 15,000 local residents and 180 food craft and variety stalls. This year Oatley Lions Club commemorates over 40 years of community service in the St George area. Festival attractions include amusement rides, Harley motor bike rides, pony rides, roving bands and two stage bands. In addition to a variety of quality food sites, this event attracts a wide range of craft goods and quality merchandise. PARKING Visitors and stall holders are encouraged to park in the Georges River Campus at the northern end of the Oatley Memorial Park (enter via Hurstville Road) to ensure there is adequate parking for shoppers. The Tasmanian Craft Fair is the largest working craft fair in Australia. Spread over 8 venues throughout the picturesque town of Deloraine in Tasmania, the event asks you " **Which Craft is Your Craft**?" Exhibitors cover every type of craft you can imagine from local and interstate artists and artisans to entertainment, gourmet food, local wines, beer, cider and spirits, demonstrations, garden plants and accessories and free activities for the whole family. All venues are connected by free shuttle buses. Exhibitors showcase their products to 20.000 + visitors.
