“All roads lead to Cootamundra this Wattle Time” Celebrate Cootamundra’s iconic Wattle Time with the staging of the Wattle Time Fair and Community Street Parade, hosted by the Cootamundra Development Corporation. Cootamundra is located in the South West Slopes of NSW and is infamously known as the birthplace of legendary cricketer the late Sir Donald Bradman. Cootamundra is a highly regarded agricultural country town and is approximately halfway by rail between Sydney and Melbourne. The 2018 Wattle Time Fair will be held at the Fisher Park from 9am to 4pm on Saturday 25th August 2018 (always the last Saturday in August). Now in its sixth year, the Fair is set to incorporate all things home, garden and leisure and is a great day out for the entire family featuring: market stalls, delicious food, face painting, vintage car displays, entertainment all day, mascots, free community cake, children’s rides and activities plus much more, Overall a great family friendly atmosphere bringing the entire community together. Entry is $5 families, $2 adults & $1 children. Don’t forget to check out the floats for the Street Parade, which will make its way down Parker Street at 12noon and will then proceed back to Fisher Park. TooCon is a FREE, family friendly event full of all things pop culture. The TooCon Pop Culture Festival is in it's 3rd year and things are shaping up to be even bigger and better than previous years! The Toowoomba Regional Library has lots of fun activities, special guests and artists throughout the day and this event is popular with people of all ages. This year TooCon will also have some fabulous night time activities! This event is made possible through the support of the Queensland Government. The Eclectic Emporium runs a curated marketplace at TooCon, a place for artisans to showcase their fabulously quirky goods and skills. We love to find creators of unique, whimsical, geeky and quirky goods to share with all our customers and cosplayers on the day. Merchants and food vendors that love to have fun, dress up and bring joy to the world are our type of people. Are you one of those merchants? Stallholder applications for TooCon are now being accepted. Applications will close on the 17th June. Party plan and direct selling businesses are not permitted at this event. Preference is given to local businesses in the case of applications of similar products, providing the themed requirements are met. Stallholders may chose to stay till 3pm or for the full event period but must select their preference on the application form. We are looking for fresh fruit and vegetables, herbs and spices, free range eggs, locally sourced meats and fish, honey, plants and flowers, homemade preserves, jams and chutneys, olive oil and vinegars, cheeses, artisan bread, cakes and pastries. We are also looking for eco food and kitchen supplies, beeswax wraps, calico bags, keep cups and chopping boards to name a few. The market will be held on Saturday 22 September, 8am – 12pm at Chatswood Mall. Stallholders need to bring their own marquee and the site fee is $115. Celebrate spring at this colourful street fair, which has been running for over 37 years and coincides with the last weekend of the renowned Leura Gardens Festival. Over 100 market stalls are set among the cherry blossoms on Leura Mall, and Megalong Street Carpark is transformed into an international canteen. There’s something for everyone, with stallholders offering everything from handicrafts, fair trade goods, vintage wares, fashion, jewellery, gadgets and toys to dog accessories, cool-climate plants, preserves and fresh produce. Artists are invited to showcase their talents, local musicians add to the festival atmosphere and regional winemakers will showcase their varietals at the fair for the first time this year. There is literally something for everyone! It’s highly recommend that visitors to the fair arrive by train, as parking is very limited. The trip takes two hours from Central Railway Station. Once you exit from Leura Railway Station you will be at the top of Leura Mall, where the fair begins..

Running successfully for 37 years, the range of arts and crafts suits all tastes and budgets. Most visitors are repeats, so you can build up your business.
