With the cool of early autumn evenings in the air, come and enjoy a fusion of delicious food, art and music at our Eat Art Night Markets to be held in Hurstville Plaza in Forest Road Hurstville on Friday 12 April, and Belgrave Street and Kogarah Town Square in Kogarah on Friday 3 May 2019. There will be a range of stalls, including arts and crafts, a fantastic variety of international cuisine, and a variety of entertainment. The Hurstville event will include the official opening of the Hurstville Plaza, which will take place at 6.00pm. Kogarah Town Centre will include the closure of Belgrave St between Post Office Lane and Kensington Street, with market stalls all along the street as well as in Kogarah Town Square. Star Wars fans can come along dressed up to celebrate May the Fourth a day in advance and there is a Jedi Academy taking place which the kids might enjoy at Kogarah Library. This is a make it, bake it or grow it market. Come along to meet the artists and see their high quality stalls. The stalls include textiles, pottery, wooden toys and furniture, children’s clothes, photography, painting and jewellery. There are beautiful plants, breads, honey, teas, organic soaps and candles. Entertainment for children, plus hot and cold food and drinks.

BE PART OF SOMETHING SPECTACULAR Immerse yourself in an enchanting world of art, performance, colour and light at illuminate Wollondilly, Picton’s award-winning arts and cultural festival, taking place on Saturday 18 May 2019. Experience the township of Picton transformed with spectacular performing arts and live music, delicious local and international food, market stalls selling unique and eclectic items, and fun activities for all ages. As night falls, watch landmark buildings come to life with breathtaking digital projections from emerging and established local artists. This brilliant visual display will be curated by renowned multimedia artist Khaled Sabsabi, known for his immersive, engaging and enlightening visual experiences. The town’s glowing buildings will be the backdrop for the crowd-pleasing lantern parade, where children and adults parade through the festival footprint with paper lanterns they have created. The event will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display over our historic town. Now in its fifth year, the reinvigorated illuminate Wollondilly 2019 is set to delight attendees like never before, with exciting new activities for the whole family and even more awe-inspiring lighting projections. New additions include LED dancers, street performers, DJ activation truck, silent disco and more. Illuminate Wollondilly is a free event and will run from 12 pm to 9 pm. In the three days leading up to the festival, local artworks will be displayed in Picton Shire Hall alongside a selection of artisan market stalls, showcasing the rich talent of the area. INAUGURAL Food and Wine Market in the heart of the INNER WEST To continue our Twilight Series, we will be holding a Food + Wine Market on Saturday 18 May, 2019 between 12-6pm. Located outside our venue, with both patrons of our RSL (over 40,000 membership base) as well as people along Canterbury Road seeing the event, this Food + Wine Market speaks to what the Inner West loves- a day of great food and beverage tasting (with the opportunity for attendees to purchase or order for the future) with live music! The focus of this market is simple; boutique producer of food and wine. Entry is free, and for $10 attendees receive a free glass for tastings, plus 5 tokens worth $1 each. We are looking that each tasting will cost between $1-2, and each full standard glass between $6-8 as a guide. Each stallholder will receive 80c from each dollar voucher. There is also the ability to sell future orders with attendees. This event is child and pet friendly, speaking further to the local demographic. Live music will be played throughout the event.
