COPRICE COBDEN SPRING FESTIVAL
The CopRice Cobden Spring Festival is in its 24th year and is a fun event for all ages. The festival begins with the Bendigo Bank Junior Fishing Competition on the banks of Lake Cobden, on Friday at 5.30pm. Then on Saturday from 9am, Street broadcasts, "Brekky on the Street", Kids' entertainment with The Mik Maks, a buskers' comp, jumping castles, face painting, showbags, in-store activities, Cobden Orchid Club Annual Show, a Quilt Display and lots more, including our famous Fonterra Street Parade at 12pm, featuring, our "Unsung Heroes" and the "Curdie Cow Crap". Sunday's events include a fun run/walk, and from 10am, live music, food and market stalls, pet parade, dog jumping comp, mini train rides, mini golf, Historical Society display, Pioneer Park Moto Show, Sth Western District Restoration Group display and working engines, Orchid Show and Quilt Display. General stalls required for Sunday 20th October are: arts and crafts, produce, cakes/slices (no hot food or coffee vans required), cards, books, plants, collectables, bric-a-brac etc. We require proof of public liability and we limit the number of similar stalls. No powered or sheltered sites available. You're sure to find something at the Coprice Cobden Spring Festival to entertain and interest you!

The Tasmanian Craft Fair is the largest working craft fair in Australia. Spread over 8 venues throughout the picturesque town of Deloraine in Tasmania, the event asks you " **Which Craft is Your Craft**?" Exhibitors cover every type of craft you can imagine from local and interstate artists and artisans to entertainment, gourmet food, local wines, beer, cider and spirits, demonstrations, garden plants and accessories and free activities for the whole family. All venues are connected by free shuttle buses. Exhibitors showcase their products to 20.000 + visitors. Running successfully for the past 38 years, the range of arts and crafts suits all tastes and budgets. Any work for sale must be created by, designed by and/or made by the exhibitor. Glenbrook Spring Festival is an annual event on the second Saturday of November and has been running for 35 years. Ross Street (between Park St and Cross St) and Park Street (between Ross St and Euroka Rd) are closed for the day. Street stalls will be located in Ross St and Park St as well as in the Village Green of Glenbrook Park. Food stalls will be located in Glenbrook Park adjacent to the sportsground. Jubilee Amusements and the Petting Zoo will be operating on the sportsground of Glenbrook Park with relevant food stalls and craft stalls adjacent. Springwood Foundation Day represents a huge day for the lower Blue Mountains community to participate in the festival that celebrates the spirit of our town. Whether young or old, you will find much to see & do as you stroll through Springwood on the day. The main road is closed to traffic from 7 am to 5 pm, allowing pedestrians to enjoy over 130 stalls, a wonderful range of food from around the world, live entertainment including 3 main stages with 25+ performances on the day, local bands, singers, dance groups, rides for the kiddies & much, much more. Living Green Festival—Sunday 29th March 2020—Albert Hall Canberra’s unique Living Green Festival is not just another environmental expo. It’s a fun-filled festival that focusses equally on sustainability and compassion, showcasing green ideas and solutions that work for the planet, for humans and for other animals. This free day of fun for the whole family will be back at the Albert Hall for the eighth time on Sunday 29th March 2020 from 10am-4pm. What makes the Living Green Festival different is that you might find a stall about lounge-shaped water tanks right next to a stall about the plight of orangutans in Indonesia or deaf dogs in Australia. Sustainability is a big theme of the event. Not just in the range of stalls and services showcased at the Festival, but how the event runs itself. The Festival organisers are proud of the event’s ‘green credentials’. All food and drink served at the event is plant-based, which has a much lower ‘carbon footprint’ than animal products such as meat and dairy. It also means all food waste from the event is composted. And not just the food – all servingware used at the event is also compostable, meaning very little waste from the event ends up in landfill or needing to be recycled. So, while nibbling a delicious plant-based cheesecake made by a local Canberra bakery, or sampling a tasty Malaysian vegetable curry from a local haute cuisine restaurant, you can learn about energy efficiency measures for your home at the many eco-friendly market stalls. Retro-fitted double-glazing solutions for existing windows is always one of the most popular exhibits, offering festival attendees the chance to see how it works in practice. Kids are spoilt for choice as well. This year there will be an entire free Kidzone, with an 8-metre rock-climbing wall that kids (and kids-at-heart) can scale to get the best view of the Festival. The Kidzone will also offer free face painting, games and art and craft activities. Festival-goers will also be able to chill out in the grounds of the Albert Hall while listening to live music and entertainment including Petrichor, Hope Street, Monique Lewis, and even a spot of swing dancing! The Festival will also offer a range of free workshops, talks and cooking demonstrations. Oh, and finally, the Living Green Festival has a dog café! That’s right, dogs are welcome at the event. ‘Carson’s Café’ (Carson’s a lovely poodle and the face of the café), will be right in the middle of the 2017 Living Green Festival serving treats for people and dogs alike. So come and experience ‘a kinder shade of green’ for a day at Canberra’s seventh Living Green Festival!
