WHITE SANDS FESTIVAL
The White Sands Festival is held on the Sports Ground at Huskisson and is essentially a large market with over 120 stalls, plus entertainment all day and various interesting exhibits. These exhibits include vintage, hot-rod and display cars together with bikes, vintage machinery, power boats and much more. On stage there are local and out-of-town groups who sing, perform and play for your entertainment as well as massed Scottish Bands marching and playing on and around the large field, the entertainment continues throughout the day. Preceding the events at the sports ground there is a large and noisy parade that passes through town with marching groups, bands, floats and community groups to bring the large crowd to the main event. All 5m x 5m sites are on grass with over 120 sites available. Most stalls have adjacent parking. Huskisson is a popular seaside town on the South Coast of NSW, and it is still just $80 for a full day trading.

Saturday 4th May and Sunday 5th May 2019 will see the Chevalier College Hall transformed into an impressive showcase of antiques when around twenty dealers from all around the country combine for the 32nd Southern Highlands Antiques Fair. Organised by antiques dealer Mick Dalton, this event has become a great drawcard for collectors both serious and novice alike. Traditionally the aim of a fair is to cater for all tastes and incomes, from the smallest thimble to a grand Victorian chest. Prices are competitive and the range of items for sale is enormous, enabling customers to view many different dealers all together under one roof, instead of travelling to twenty different establishments. Georgian and Victorian jewellery, English and European porcelain, silver, glass, linen, lamps, collectables and furniture, both rustic and traditional will be displayed with great care and pride, the dealers themselves endeavouring to supply as much information as possible to help the collector. The Southern Highlands Antiques Fair is a major fundraiser for the Bowral and District Hospital Auxiliary who will provide delicious light lunches and morning and afternoon teas throughout the weekend of the fair as well as a raffle and a stall selling delicious cakes, biscuits and jams. The Southern Highlands Antiques Fair is open to the public from 9:00am until 5:00pm on Saturday 4th May and from 10:00am until 4:00pm on Sunday 5th May. Admission is $10.00 for adults and includes a lucky door prize ticket. Accompanied children are free. The Chevalier College Hall is situated in Charlotte St Burradoo (Bowral) just off the Bowral to Moss Vale road. There is plenty of parking available nearby and wheelchair access into the hall. Located outside our venue, with both patrons of our RSL (over 40,000 membership base) as well as people along Canterbury Road seeing the event, this Food + Wine Market speaks to what the Inner West loves- a day of great food and beverage tasting (with the opportunity for attendees to purchase or order for the future) with live music! The focus of this market is simple; boutique producer of food and wine. Entry is free, and for $10 attendees receive a free glass for tastings, plus 5 tokens worth $1 each. We are looking that each tasting will cost between $1-2, and each full standard glass between $6-8 as a guide. Each stallholder will receive 80c from each dollar voucher. The Australian Pottery Market Day is an annual event which is held at the Gymea Tradies in Sydney and is organise by the Facebook group, Australian Pottery (Everything Australian Pottery), and is set in a large reception room which is filled with Australian pottery. Present on the day are many collectors maybe looking to downsize there collection or sell it all together. Everyone is very happy to help other collectors with questions and information regarding the pottery. Also this year we have a special guest modern potter who we be giving a pottery painting demonstration on the day. There will also be modern day potters selling the pieces along with then Antique and collectable pieces that are highly sought after. Some of these makers might include pieces from Remued, Castle Harris, Bendigo Pottery, and Diana pottery just to name a few. Basically pottery could be found from the 1870's to today. This market day would be of value to the novice collector to the serious collector looking for that special piece. This year for the first time we also have some interstate sellers. YOWAH OPAL FESTIVAL

It is a gem of a place this little four block town in Outback Queensland, and we celebrate our uniqueness with an annual festival - The Yowah Opal Festival. Yowah's opal celebration occurs on the third weekend of the month of July each year. Located two hours drive from Cunnamulla on a sealed road. World class museum specimens of Yowah Nut Opal, Ironstone Matrix Opal, Opalized Wood Opal, Yowah Boulder Opal and Boulder Opal are on display as the locals share their prize collections with all. The Yowah Opal festival is fully catered and licensed for the week -end. Morning and afternoon tea, and three meals a day are cooked on the premises. Fresh food is provided including pit roasts, bar-b-ques, and smorgasbord for a three day bit of variety, including breakfast all days and on Monday before guests hit the track. Music and dancing is part of the festivities. The townspeople encourage everyone to talk to a miner. Yowah is billed as the "friendly" opalfield and the people gather to prove to you why. The town of Yowah is named after the opal field it grew from, and the Yowah opal field got its name from a creek that runs through it. In the 1890's the Yowah opal centered nut was feverishly mined. Today both the Yowah gem nut and its cousin, the Yowah opal matrix nut are equally sought after by both a national and an overseas gem market.

This exciting event attracts over 30,000 visitors each year and entry is free. It commences at 10am with a Grand Parade in the Main Street, and concludes at 10pm after the CFA Torchlight Parade and a spectacular fireworks display. The Grand Parade will have in excess of 1000 participants and be full of colour and variety with this year’s theme being ‘Cuisine, Craft and Community’. We have many family oriented activities including egg and spoon and sack races, tug o war, a gorgeous fairy tent, rock climbing, abseiling, and a rope bridge to navigate for the kids. We have a large range of carnival rides suiting everyone from the very young children to the more exciting ones for the teenagers. There will be face painting, pony and camel rides, and a range of stages providing a variety of entertainment. You can sit and have a coffee or enjoy the huge range of cuisines in the food court, while facing the main stage and watch bands, dancers, singers and more. Or laugh with the clowns and other acts on the children’s stage. We have buskers and roving entertainers, displays from the police, CFA and much much more. Oatley Village Festival is a major community event in the St George area, attracting over 15,000 local residents and 180 food craft and variety stalls. This year Oatley Lions Club commemorates over 40 years of community service in the St George area. Festival attractions include amusement rides, Harley motor bike rides, pony rides, roving bands and two stage bands. In addition to a variety of quality food sites, this event attracts a wide range of craft goods and quality merchandise. PARKING Visitors and stall holders are encouraged to park in the Georges River Campus at the northern end of the Oatley Memorial Park (enter via Hurstville Road) to ensure there is adequate parking for shoppers. The Tasmanian Craft Fair is the largest working craft fair in Australia. Spread over 8 venues throughout the picturesque town of Deloraine in Tasmania, the event asks you " **Which Craft is Your Craft**?" Exhibitors cover every type of craft you can imagine from local and interstate artists and artisans to entertainment, gourmet food, local wines, beer, cider and spirits, demonstrations, garden plants and accessories and free activities for the whole family. All venues are connected by free shuttle buses. Exhibitors showcase their products to 20.000 + visitors. Running successfully for the past 38 years, the range of arts and crafts suits all tastes and budgets. Any work for sale must be created by, designed by and/or made by the exhibitor.
