The Glenaeon Family Fair takes place on Saturday 3 November from 10am – 4pm.
The Art Show runs from Friday 2 – Sunday 4 November.
The Glenaeon Family Fair is a standout annual event on Sydney's lower north shore for all the family, featuring wholesome, fun and creative activities for children of all ages, plus unique market stalls, scrumptious food, and a world-class art show.
Children can test their skills climbing the Jacob’s Ladder, throwing a ball at our Coconut Shy, or scaling the heights of the famous Lollipop Climb. They will also enjoy crystal mining, face painting, wooden toy-making and much more.
There’ll be delicious homemade and organic food, fresh home-baked cakes and traditional lemonade, plus our own Coffee Hut, Chai Tent and Sushi Stall.
Entertainment will be provided by wandering minstrels and our own up-and-coming star performers on the main stage. Plus, there’s a Storytelling tent especially for younger audience members.
This year, the Fair committee is working with the team from Ruzi to help reduce our environmental footprint by using reusable cups, plates and cutlery. Ultimately, our goal is to make the Fair a zero-waste event.
Hosted by the school's parent community, the Glenaeon Family Fair & Art Show is also a great opportunity to find out more about Steiner education, view primary and high school students’ work and talk to teachers about the difference a Glenaeon education makes.
The Glenaeon Art Show showcases art and craft from both emerging and established artists with a particular commitment to local artists and artisans. The 2018 show promises to be yet another milestone event with over 150 great pieces of art on show to browse and buy.
For the first time this year, several shops at Castlecrag will be exhibiting some of the Art Show’s paintings on their walls and in their windows in the days leading up to the show.
So come along and join in the fun of the Glenaeon Family Fair and Art Show from Friday 2 November – Sunday 4 November 2018 at the Castlecrag Campus of Glenaeon Rudolf Steiner School, 121 Edinburgh Road. All welcome.
