Thanks to our wonderful community, Our markets have achieved an attendance of over 5,000 people for the past 8 years, so come along and enjoy a relaxing family day out. There is plenty to do for the kids including rides, kids corner with craft and food galore. They will be kept entertained while you shop. Around 200 mainly local stallholders showcasing their art, clothing, produce, entertainment and so much more. Our Markets are held annually on the third Sunday in October, with all funds raised on the day going to various projects around the school including play equipment and classroom technology.

DamFest Warragamba 2019 - Sunday 20th October - 10am to 4pm - Warragamba Recreation Reserve, Warragamba This will be our 14th annual DamFest - which includes a Community Fair, Swapmeet, Car Show, Bike Show and for the first time Historical Truck Show. Admission to DamFest is FREE. The event is a fun day for the whole family featuring Live entertainment, Car Show, Bike Show, Swap Meet ,displays by emergency services (NSW Police, NSW Fire & Rescue, RFS and SES), Helicopter Joy Flights, Golden Ridge Animal Farm for the kids, Market stalls, amusements, rides, and lots of free entertainment for the kids, including working dogs demonstrations, sheep shearing and reptile shows throughout the day. The purpose of the day is to raise awareness of the Warragamba Silverdale area, provide a fund raising opportunity for local community groups and organisations, to give car and bike enthusiasts a showcase for their vehicles in a totally safe and family friendly environment and to raise funds for the Warragamba Silverdale communities with proceeds of the day being directed back into the community. After a hugely successful event last year, we’ve decided to do it again with the sponsorship support of CrownGroup and Eastlakes Shopping Centre. Here are the details: When? 2pm to 10pm on Saturday 9th November Where? Eastlakes Reserve – Evans Ave, Eastlakes What? Loads of market stalls, food stalls, rides and professional entertainment for the whole family, finishing with an outdoor movie from 7pm. Why? The Strawberries & Cherries Weekend celebrates the arrival of the first spring crop of fruits, with strawberries and cherries being the star of the show in Bacchus Marsh. This year’s festival is bigger than ever taking up the main road (STREET STALLS FULLY BOOKED) in town and looking for stallholders with a variety of goods for both days of our festival. Party plan sellers are accepted for this festival and theme related products are encouraged. ​ Public Hall Makers Market and RSL Hall market. Both of these venues are open for inside stallholders. Handmade / demonstrations wanted, homewares, woodwork, Artworks, photography, fashion, furniture. RSL Hall, Eclectic stalls, including fair trade, homewares, textiles. All stalls can stay set up over the weekend.

Living Green Festival—Sunday 29th March 2020—Albert Hall Canberra’s unique Living Green Festival is not just another environmental expo. It’s a fun-filled festival that focusses equally on sustainability and compassion, showcasing green ideas and solutions that work for the planet, for humans and for other animals. This free day of fun for the whole family will be back at the Albert Hall for the eighth time on Sunday 29th March 2020 from 10am-4pm. What makes the Living Green Festival different is that you might find a stall about lounge-shaped water tanks right next to a stall about the plight of orangutans in Indonesia or deaf dogs in Australia. Sustainability is a big theme of the event. Not just in the range of stalls and services showcased at the Festival, but how the event runs itself. The Festival organisers are proud of the event’s ‘green credentials’. All food and drink served at the event is plant-based, which has a much lower ‘carbon footprint’ than animal products such as meat and dairy. It also means all food waste from the event is composted. And not just the food – all servingware used at the event is also compostable, meaning very little waste from the event ends up in landfill or needing to be recycled. So, while nibbling a delicious plant-based cheesecake made by a local Canberra bakery, or sampling a tasty Malaysian vegetable curry from a local haute cuisine restaurant, you can learn about energy efficiency measures for your home at the many eco-friendly market stalls. Retro-fitted double-glazing solutions for existing windows is always one of the most popular exhibits, offering festival attendees the chance to see how it works in practice. Kids are spoilt for choice as well. This year there will be an entire free Kidzone, with an 8-metre rock-climbing wall that kids (and kids-at-heart) can scale to get the best view of the Festival. The Kidzone will also offer free face painting, games and art and craft activities. Festival-goers will also be able to chill out in the grounds of the Albert Hall while listening to live music and entertainment including Petrichor, Hope Street, Monique Lewis, and even a spot of swing dancing! The Festival will also offer a range of free workshops, talks and cooking demonstrations. Oh, and finally, the Living Green Festival has a dog café! That’s right, dogs are welcome at the event. ‘Carson’s Café’ (Carson’s a lovely poodle and the face of the café), will be right in the middle of the 2017 Living Green Festival serving treats for people and dogs alike.
