Every September, Camden Festival enlivens and transforms Camden with a variety of activities and events. 2018 festival highlights: Saturday 8 September Cinema Under the Stars Grab a blanket, some cushions or chairs and get comfortable in front of the huge 12m x 7m movie screen and enjoy Despicable Me 3 and pre-show activities at The Australian Botanic Gardens, Mount Annan. The number of Kombis that arrive at the festival has steadily increased over the last ten years due to the support of many Kombi owners who now have made the festival an annual pilgrimage. For Kombi owners this festival is a place to meet and share their passion for their beloved buses with like-minded Kombi enthusiasts in a relaxed and festive atmosphere suited for the whole family. Celebrate spring at this colourful street fair, which has been running for over 37 years and coincides with the last weekend of the renowned Leura Gardens Festival. Over 100 market stalls are set among the cherry blossoms on Leura Mall, and Megalong Street Carpark is transformed into an international canteen. There’s something for everyone, with stallholders offering everything from handicrafts, fair trade goods, vintage wares, fashion, jewellery, gadgets and toys to dog accessories, cool-climate plants, preserves and fresh produce. Artists are invited to showcase their talents, local musicians add to the festival atmosphere and regional winemakers will showcase their varietals at the fair for the first time this year. There is literally something for everyone! It’s highly recommend that visitors to the fair arrive by train, as parking is very limited. The trip takes two hours from Central Railway Station. Once you exit from Leura Railway Station you will be at the top of Leura Mall, where the fair begins..

The annual Granny Smith Festival celebrates the life and legacy of one of our district’s most famous citizens, Maria Ann Smith - aka Granny Smith - who, back in 1868, ‘accidentally’ grew the first batch of little green apples that bear her name and are now grown all over the world. This year we're celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Granny Smith apple. The Granny Smith Festival began in 1985 and is now regarded as one of Sydney’s largest street festivals, a true community carnival, full of colour and good old fashioned fun. It is supported by local businesses, sporting and service organisations, churches, schools and the wider community. The festival attracts around 80,000 visitors to Eastwood. It is a chance for the people and businesses of the City of Ryde to come together and celebrate the history and culture of the area. Join us for live music, performances, our Grand Street Parade, kids activities, youth zone, food and market stalls, fireworks and more.

Oatley Village Festival is a major community event in the St George area, attracting over 15,000 local residents and 180 food craft and variety stalls. This year Oatley Lions Club commemorates over 41 years of community service in the St George area. Festival attractions include amusement rides, Harley motor bike rides, pony rides, roving bands and two stage bands. In addition to a variety of quality food sites, this event attracts a wide range of craft goods and quality merchandise. PARKING Visitors and stall holders are encouraged to park in the Georges River Campus at the northern end of the Oatley Memorial Park (enter via Hurstville Road) to ensure there is adequate parking for shoppers. FESTIVAL NEWSLETTER Stall holders new to Oatley are encouraged to subscribe online to the Festival News mailing list to receive notification when online bookings open in July. This will be our 13th annual DamFest - which includes a Community Fair, Swapmeet, Car and Bike Show. Admission to DamFest is FREE. The Agricultural Show Society is proud of its history and has been a major player in the community providing facilities for user groups within the Bendigo region and hosting National events. Held over two days, Friday and Saturday, October 26 and 27, the ever-popular Bendigo Agricultural Show will again draw the crowds with fantastic entertainment. Glenbrook Spring Festival is an annual event on the second Saturday of November and has been running for 35 years. Ross Street (between Park St and Cross St) and Park Street (between Ross St and Euroka Rd) are closed for the day. The Food and Wine Festival starts at 11am and is located in the lower section of Ross Street. Street stalls will be located in Ross St and Park St as well as in the Village Green of Glenbrook Park. Food stalls will be located in Glenbrook Park adjacent to the sportsground. Jubilee Amusements and the Petting Zoo will be operating on the sportsground of Glenbrook Park with relevant food stalls and craft stalls adjacent.
